AFIMO has now 3 production lines for the manufacture of our Carbofilter® cartridges.
The process is the principle of sintering a binder with carbon media in grain or powder. The machine extrudes then the whole block up to 50 ''. Each block is cooled then cut to the specified length.

The method is based on the processing of polypropylene beads fiber. The principle is a hot expulsion of these fibers on a rotary axis, describing the extrusion phenomenon. With specific tools, we easily adapt the settings to produce different diameters and lengths cartridges.
